E.ON U.S.   E.ON U.S. Community Award for Innovation

       

    Overview
    A successful economic development project or effort must be community driven.  Successful communities demonstrate these efforts in various methods.  It is for this reason that the Kentucky Association for Economic Development has created the E.ON U.S. Community Award for Innovation Presented by LG&E/KU. 

    The E.ON U.S. Community Award for Innovation Presented by LG&E/KU is awarded at the KAED Spring Conference.  The time frame for eligibility for consideration is January 1 – December 31.

    Qualifications
    1)
    Applicants must be sponsored by a KAED member in good standing.
    2)
     Applicants must be a Kentucky community, county or regional partnership.

    Community Information
    A profile of the submitted community must directly address how the community has demonstrated Innovative Community Efforts that include, but are not limited to, creative approaches to new/expanding industries, development of community partnerships, demonstration of community involvement, workforce development efforts and entrepreneur activities. 

    Profiles cannot exceed three (3) pages, double-spaced.

    A letter of endorsement from the chief elected official of the jurisdiction in which the nominated project is located must be submitted.

    A letter of sponsorship from a KAED member in good standing must be submitted.

    Deadline
    All applications must be received no later than January 31, 2009.
