KAED News Printer Friendly Version As many of you know we have been working to put together a cooperative marketing initiative to dynamically and aggressively market Kentucky to key business decision makers around the United States. Research shows that these decision makers are unaware of the advantages of doing business and the quality of life that Kentucky has to offer. The KAED Marketing Initiative is a joint effort between KAED, our members and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development. We invite you join in our efforts by becoming a sponsor of the program. Benefits of Membership Members will receive year round exposure to community and business leaders as well as key state leadership through various events, meetings and communications. · Invitations to quarterly board meetings will offer a preview of upcoming activities and insight into the marketing of Kentucky. · Members will be invited to attend various meetings throughout the year to discuss the current economic climate, emerging trends and challenges facing the state. · Members will receive regular e-mail updates with critical economic development news. · Potential opportunities to participate in business recruitment events to network with site consultants and business leaders. · Potential opportunities for inclusion on marketing materials sent to national and international leaders. Business Recruitment Events The KAED Marketing Initiative will hold a series of business recruitment events in 2009. Three out of state recruitment trips will be held along with participation in the Area Development Forum in Louisville, KY May 29 – June 2 (due to space limitations Level 1 & 2 sponsors will be given priority for the Area Development event). Additionally, Level 1 & 2 sponsors will participate in day trips to meet with consultants and business leaders within the region. In-state events The KAED Marketing Initiative will work with regional partners to develop unique events designed to bring decision makers to their region. In addition we will look for ways to capitalize on existing events in the state such as the Kentucky Derby, Breeders Cup and FEI Alltech World Equestrian Games. Sponsorship Levels You don’t have to be a large organization in order to participate in the KAED Marketing Initiative. With an array of sponsorship levels, smaller communities and businesses can still participate and impact economic development activities around the state and in their regions. Annual sponsorship levels range from $1,000 to $20,000 and offer an array of benefits. Level 1 Sponsor - $20,000 per year for three years - A seat on the Governor’s Economic Development Advisory Council (bi-annual meeting). - Participation by up to two representatives in all Business Recruitment Events - Participation in all Day Trips to be scheduled - Contact information from all scheduled appointments during Business Recruitment Events and Day Trips - Recognition at all KAED Marketing Initiative events - Corporate logo inclusion on marketing materials - Invitation to quarterly board meetings - Participation in periodic conference calls with consultants and industry experts Level 2 Sponsor - $10,000 per year for three years - Participation in 50% of Business Recruitment Events - Participation in all Day Trips to be scheduled - Contact information from all scheduled appointments during Business Recruitment Events and Day Trips in which sponsor participates - Recognition at all KAED Marketing Initiative events - Corporate logo inclusion on marketing materials - Invitation to quarterly board meetings - Participation in periodic conference calls with consultants and industry experts Level 3 Sponsor - $5,000 per year for three years - Participation in 25% of Business Recruitment Events - Contact information from all scheduled appointments during Business Recruitment Events and Day Trips in which sponsor participates - Recognition during KAED Marketing Initiative events - Participation in periodic conference calls with consultants and industry experts - Invitation to quarterly board meetings Level 4 Sponsor - $1,000 per year for three years - Recognition during KAED Marketing Initiative events - Invitation to quarterly board meetings - Potential to participate in Business Recruitment events (based on availability and at additional cost) - Participation in periodic conference calls with consultants and industry experts For more information on the program, please contact the KAED office at (502)227-9653.
