|KAED President/CEO Matt Tackett & Family
Hello, KAED, and thank you for welcoming me as the newest member of your Association family. I am grateful to work with you, as this is an exciting time to be part of KAED. More importantly, this is an exciting time to be a Kentuckian. Because of the great work of many in our membership, Kentucky is setting records in new corporate investment. More ribbons are cut, more great paying jobs are created and more Kentucky families are benefiting from the positive ramifications of economic development.
Kentucky’s successful momentum exemplifies the collective power of economic convergence. KAED is proud to meaningfully impact this collaboration and we will enhance our contribution to statewide and regional economic development via smart programming, creative marketing and strategic advocacy. As a member of KAED, your financial investment demands measurable action and the Association will ensure our service portfolio is built to enhance the mission of our members and the goals of our partners. As you individually and collectively shine as the leading force of Kentucky’s economic innovation the Association will stand with you as a valuable resource and a strong partner.
This year KAED is commemorating our golden anniversary. While we celebrate our past, we are eagerly strategizing for our future. As we move forward, you will see that we are hitting the ground running to enhance and reimagine your Association. The execution of our vision will lead KAED, KentuckyUnited and KIDC into an unprecedented era of economic advocacy. As President and CEO, my primary goal is to unleash the full intellectual capital within KAED. When successful, our membership will grow; so too will our committees in intensity and activity. KentuckyUnited will be the most creative and effective marketing initiative in the nation. Our strength will yield powerful influence which we will leverage to aggressively safeguard and advocate for our memberships’ interests. Our strong foundation secures a thrilling future, as there is economic excitement across the Commonwealth and through the halls of KAED.
Ahead of us, we truly have a “commonwealth of opportunity.” When KAED functions at optimal execution our members will be stronger and the Commonwealth will be as attractive economically as it is aesthetically. Our work positively impacts Kentucky families and we must never forget that economic development, although easily quantified by a myriad of financial metrics, is about enhancing prosperity to increase the quality of life in Kentucky.
I am humbled to join KAED and eager to develop collaborative efforts with our membership. My family and I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you, and I invite you to join us at the KAED Fall Conference on November 8 – 10 in Bowling Green. You can view our exciting conference agenda at http://cca.kaedonline.org/EvtListing.aspx. You can also still register by giving us a call at 502-227-9653. At the Fall Conference, let’s explore how KAED can continue to serve your needs. We have great work ahead of us, and I thank you for your commitment to KAED and to Kentucky.
